Spay it Forward, November 7, 2011
Myrtle greets everyone at the SPOT Clinic every morning and escorts people to their cars every afternoon. She and her buddy, Yellow, live in the neighborhood. We have asked many of the neighbors, but no one claims her as their own. After noticing signs that Myrtle might be in heat, we took her in and, using a Spay it Forward from Kelly Sanders, were able to prevent an unwanted litter from being born to a homeless dog.
Myrtle is very sweet and non-aggressive toward other dogs. We have been feeding her and let her sleep inside when it gets cold, but we are a spay/neuter clinic and cannot care for her like she needs. If you know someone that is interested in adopting a cuddly, friendly, medium-sized dog, let us know! She has been spayed and is up to date on her shots!
Thanks again to Kelly Sanders for making this spay possible. You helped keep at least one unwanted litter from growing up homeless.
Myrtle has healed up nicely from her surgery and is still in need of a home. She is currently in a foster home, but would love to have a place she can call her own.
