Tuesday, May 15th SIFs

Well, last Tuesday was a busy day and we're behind on blogging about it!

Whenever someone calls to schedule an appointment for their pet, we always ask if all the other pets in the household are fixed.  If not, we do our best to get everyone scheduled.  Last week, we happened to talk to a few people that had multiple unaltered animals but could only afford to get one done.  There is always the fear that they won't come back with the other pet later, so we try to do whatever we can to get both animals in the door.  On Tuesday, we used Spay it Forwards to provide a "buy one get one" special for three lucky pets and their owners.  Each one of these pups below came in with another pup from the same household.

Chikis' spay was made possible by a Spay it Forward provided by Irene Hernandez.

Halo's neuter was made possible by a Spay it Forward provided by Rosalind Cook (in honor of Lea Rawlings).

But that's not all we did on Tuesday!  When we say it was a busy day, we aren't kidding around!  We also had the opportunity to visit with some very special kitties.

Simba and his owner were living on very little income when his owner's grandmother had to come and live with them.  She knew she needed to get Simba neutered.  She called and talked to us about getting him scheduled and asked about pricing.  Because of her special circumstances, we awarded her with a Spay it Forward to get Simba fixed.

And last, but definitely NOT least, is little Kowi.  Kowi's owner is homeless, but she couldn't leave Kowi behind.  She took Kowi under her wing and promptly contacted us to see how we could help.  We were very touched by the compassion that she had and very impressed with her sense of urgency in getting Kowi fixed.  We happily awarded her a Spay it Forward for baby Kowi.

Thank you for taking the time to read about our special SPOT Clinic visitors.  We are very proud of what we do here and every day we meet people who love their animals and just want to do the right thing.  To those who donate Spay it Forwards and support SPOT Clinic in other ways, thank you for helping make that possible.
