Minka Spayed Feb 25, 2012

Minka is a beautiful feral kitty that was caught and brought to us to be spayed.  After being spayed, receiving vaccinations, and having her ear tipped, she will be released back into her cat colony to live out a kitten-free life!

Werna Rudy provided the Spay it Forward for this kitty to help control the population of feral cat colonies.  Trapping, spaying or neutering, and returning these kitties back to their colonies has proven more effective (and humane!) in controlling the pet overpopulation than trapping and euthanizing.

If you have a kitty that needs trapping, or just would like more information on trapping and fixing feral kitties, please venture over to our website and read bout it here.

Thank you to Ms. Werna Rudy for making this spay possible and thank you to all humane trap, neuter, return programs out there for making the lives of feral cats better!

Muffie, Spayed February 1

Meet Muffie.  She came to the SPOT Clinic today to be spayed by her new mom.  Her new mom is a wonderful person for taking Muffie in after her owner (her new owner's sister) passed away.  Her new mom is also a wonderful person for making Muffie's spay a top priority.  However, she is unemployed and her unemployment has run out.

Thanks to the generosity of Werna Rudy, we were able to spay Muffie today with a Spay it Forward coupon.  She is also now up to date on her vaccinations thanks to an anonymous donor.  Good luck, Muffie!  Sounds like you've got a very caring new owner!
