Bella, May 9, 2012

Sweet Bella and her brother Cooper, were adopted by a couple as young puppies.  Cooper was hers and Bella was his.  Shortly after adopting, Bella contracted parvo and he was diagnosed with cancer.  Cooper's mom remembers being caretaker for them both at the same time with him on oxygen and her on a nebulizer.

Bella made it through her bout with parvo, but unfortunately, her dad did not win his fight with cancer.  He died just six weeks ago.  Cooper's mom smiled and told us that Bella was so special to her because she reminded her of her husband.  She brought both Bella and Cooper in yesterday to be fixed and we awarded her with a Spay it Forward for Bella.

Both Bella and Cooper are happy little dachshunds with long and healthy lives ahead of them.  Thank you to Irene Hernandez for making Bella's spay possible.  And thank you Cooper's mom for getting these precious pets in to be fixed.
