KiKi, April 26, 2012

KiKi is a very special kitty.  She is only 6 months old and a good samaritan rescued her from being attacked by a dog.  He brought her home and nursed her wounds back to health.  He had no intentions of having a pet as he had just recently lost his job.  But, as you could imagine, he bonded with KiKi while she was healing.

KiKi's owner called us to find out how much it would cost to have her fixed and vaccinated, knowing that he couldn't risk KiKi getting pregnant.  After hearing the amount, he told us her story and told us he would call back when he was able to scrape together the money.  Our staff was so moved by his love for KiKi and how well he had taken care of her that we proudly awarded him a Spay it Forward to get KiKi's surgery done.  After all, that's what this program is all about, isn't it?

A very heartfelt thank you goes out to Irene Hernandez on behalf of KiKi.  What a great home she has!
